ABOUT US

Passion, expertise, results.

IHP57 is a modern ice hockey development environment where technical training, mental growth and a professional attitude together shape the players of the future. Our goal is to provide structured, internationally-standard training that simultaneously develops technical skills, game intelligence, decision-making and a professional athlete's mentality.

Our development programs bring together national team players, champion athletes and specialists versed in sports psychology and modern technical training, all working together for the players' improvement.

I believe that the foundation of modern ice hockey is high-level technical skill, fast decision-making and conscious mental preparation. My goal is for players to receive training that makes them competitive at the international level.

András Szabó

Mental Coach

András Szabó

My work is grounded in a shared denominator: self-awareness that can be translated into action. Whether we are exploring the limits and dynamics of athletic performance, or searching for one's personal, individual path, I always start from the same premise: the conviction that real change begins where insight turns into experience, and experience turns into action. For me, sessions are not about giving advice or handing over "ready-made solutions." Rather, they are about creating a shared space-one where we can be present together with non-judgmental attention, without labels. What truly makes my methodology unique is the integration of elements from psychodrama. We do not simply talk about problems. In the processes of coaching and mental training, I consciously incorporate dramatic tools-such as role reversal, inner monologue, and spatial modeling-so that change becomes not only an intellectual event, but also a physical and emotional experience. My goal is not merely to resolve current difficulties, but to help build an inner toolkit that supports confident navigation-whether in personal development or in strengthening the unity of a team.

Martin Szeles

goalkeeper coach

Martin Szeles

Ice hockey has always been a defining part of my life, which is why it is especially important to me to pass on the experience I have gained to the younger generation. At the camps, my goal as a goalkeeper coach is to help young goalkeepers develop technically, tactically and mentally. I believe that hard work, the right attitude and love of the sport are the foundations of success.

goalie coach

Máté Sági

I'm Máté Sági, a goalie coach and active player. I have been part of the hockey world for over 20 years, and throughout my playing career I represented several Hungarian clubs, including Vasas, Újpest, Dunaújváros Acélbikák, and Győri ETO. I am currently enrolled in the A-licence coaching programme at the University of Physical Education, and I also hold an economics degree from Corvinus University. As a coach, my goal is to support goalies in their technical, tactical, and mental development. I believe that the right foundations, consistent work, and a positive coach-athlete relationship make players more effective in the long run. In both individual and group sessions I place strong emphasis on skating technique, positioning, reading the game, and building confidence. My aim is for every goalie to get the most out of their abilities and become a more confident, more effective player on the ice.

player coach

Levente Birta

I'm Levente Birta. I've been playing ice hockey for 15 years, the last 5 of which I've spent abroad. During my career I've had the opportunity to play in Sweden, Canada, and currently in the United States. In these countries I got to experience different hockey cultures, training methods, and philosophies, all of which have significantly contributed to my development as a player and as a person. As a coach, my goal is to pass on the experience and knowledge I've gained abroad to young players, helping them get the most out of themselves both on and off the ice. I value hard work, discipline, and continuous improvement - but I also believe these are best achieved in an environment where players feel comfortable and genuinely enjoy coming to practice.

skill coach

Gergő Schwartz

I played five years in Finland and America and have now signed for Fehérvár's senior team in the Erste Liga. I have also represented the national team at the U18 and U20 World Championships, where we won gold at this year's U20 Worlds. I've been playing in Germany since I was 13 - I'm now about to start my 14th year there. I joined the IHP57 program last year, where through Nátán Vértes and Alex Kovács I got to know Attila Orbán. From the very first moment I loved the whole concept - the quality of the training sessions, the environment, and the expertise of the staff. It's great to see how many enthusiastic kids come to the camps week after week, working hard to improve. Attila works with a unique training methodology that I find truly exceptional, and I'm deeply grateful that he also works with me personally. I hope plenty of people visit the IHP57 camps this year too.
